Hemink Group is making 213 homes more sustainable with portable power
A silent power supply for an electric crane and cordless tools, without drawing power from residents’ mains supply. To make 213 homes in Rheden more sustainable, Hemink Groep is using a 43 kWh Energy Boost Battery Trailer. The mobile battery supplies power on the building site where no suitable power supply is available. The challenge: The work required power for an electric crane and for charging cordless tools. Hemink Groep did not want to draw electricity from residents’ homes for this purpose. At the same time, the power supply had to be silent and operate without a running diesel generator. The solution The Energy Boost 43 kWh was installed on site as a mobile power supply. The trailer powers the electric crane and is used to charge cordless tools. The Battery Trailer is charged overnight approximately once a week. The result: Hemink Groep has a reliable and silent power supply throughout the works, without placing a strain on residents’ connections. Bongers Construction is building without a permanent electricity supply in De Tippe
A 43 kWh Energy Boost supplies the building site, site hutt and cement silo with the necessary energy. Bouwbedrijf Bongers is using a 43 kWh Energy Boost Battery Trailer during the construction of a new house in the De Tippe neighbourhood of Zwolle. As there is no permanent mains connection at the site, the trailer serves as the mobile power supply for the project. The challenge: the construction site needed to be supplied with power for around six months without a permanent mains connection. Among other things, the site hut and the cement silo had to remain operational, whilst a practical charging solution was needed that fitted in with existing operational procedures. The solution Bongers Construction is using the Energy Boost 43 kWh to supply power to the construction site. The trailer is taken back to the company’s premises about once a week to be fully recharged and then returned to the site. The result The Battery Trailer reliably supplies the construction site with power without a fixed connection. Its use also provides greater insight into energy consumption. Heldoorn Restauraties adopts a flexible approach at Amerongen Castle
The Power Max 96 kWh provides silent mobile power during a multi-year restoration and maintenance project. Heldoorn Restauratie & Gevelwerken is using a 96 kWh Power Max Battery Trailer at Amerongen Castle. Power is in short supply on the estate, and the work regularly has to be moved to a different location on the site. The challenge: Power was required at various locations for the restoration and maintenance work. A fixed temporary power supply did not offer sufficient flexibility. A diesel generator was not a suitable solution for this sensitive location due to the noise and local emissions. The solution The Power Max 96 kWh moves with the work and supplies power for, amongst other things, a joint-breaking hammer and the equipment used for hosing down the work area. At the end of the working day, the Battery Trailer is connected to a charging point on site, ensuring it is ready for use again the following day. The result: Heldoorn can work at various locations on the estate without having to constantly search for temporary power points or set up new facilities. This saves the team time and allows the restoration work to be carried out without a diesel generator. Plegt-Vos is making 62 homes more sustainable without a diesel generator
From May to November, the Battery Trailer provides a reliable mobile power supply to the site facilities, tools and machinery. Commissioned by deltaWonen, Plegt-Vos is carrying out sustainability improvements on 62 homes around Alkerhoornweg in Zwolle. During the project, a Battery Trailer is being used as a mobile power supply for the site huts and the work on site. The challenge: For the renovation project, sufficient power was required for several months to supply the site huts, power tools and machinery. Plegt-Vos wanted to achieve this without using a diesel generator and the associated local exhaust fumes and noise pollution. The solution From May to November, the Battery Trailer supplied power to the site huts and the connected equipment. The trailer is recharged approximately once a week. By monitoring consumption and remaining capacity, sufficient energy remains available for the works. The result After the first month, there had not been a single power cut and there proved to be more than enough power available. Subcontractors also responded positively to the quiet operation and performance of the Battery Trailer. The diesel generator was no longer needed at this site. Kuiphuis Kranen is replacing diesel generators with Battery Boxes
Kuiphuis Kranen replaces diesel generators with BatteryBoxes from BatteryTrailer. For Kuiphuis Kranen, a missing or insufficient power supply is no longer a limitation. The company’s electric Spierings crawler cranes are now powered by Battery Boxes from BatteryTrailer. This completely replaces the diesel generators that were previously required. BatteryTrailer has now delivered the second of a total of five Battery Boxes to Kuiphuis Kranen. The challenge: Electrification of heavy construction machinery places high demands on the on-site power supply. The Spierings crawler cranes require electricity not only during lifting operations, but also when the crane is being set up and moved, which demands sufficient power. In practice, a construction site does not always have a mains power connection. Even when one is available, it often fails to provide sufficient power to ensure a heavy-duty electric crane operates reliably. The Battery Box solves this problem by acting as a mobile power buffer between the mains supply and the crane. The solution: when a smaller mains connection is available on site, the Battery Box is charged via this connection. If the crane temporarily requires more power than the mains supply can provide, the Battery Box automatically makes up the shortfall. Westeinde neighbourhood party goes ahead without a diesel generator
The existing 3x32A connection was sufficient for a full five-day event in Leeuwarden. For the Westeinde Neighbourhood Festival in Leeuwarden, a Battery Trailer was deployed as a backup to the existing 3x32A connection. Thanks to the mobile battery solution, the entire event could be powered without the need for a diesel generator. The challenge: During the event, sufficient power had to be available for the funfair, four bouncy castles, the catering and the marquee. High peak loads occurred particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings, whilst the available mains connection was limited. The solution A 53 kWh Battery Trailer was connected to the existing mains supply as a buffer. This enabled the peak loads to be absorbed, ensuring that all equipment continued to function reliably throughout the event without the need for a diesel generator. The result The neighbourhood festival ran entirely on the Battery Trailer for five days. This saved approximately 675 litres of diesel and proved to the organisers that a large event can be successfully organised even without a diesel generator. De Noord funfair runs for five days on a single existing mains connection
Smart use of a 3x25A connection prevents the unnecessary use of a diesel generator. During the Kermis De Noord fair in Heerhugowaard, a Battery Trailer was deployed as a buffer for the existing mains connection. In collaboration with Stammis Verhuur, the diesel generator was able to remain switched off almost entirely, whilst all facilities were reliably supplied with power. The challenge The available 3x25A connection had to provide sufficient power for, amongst other things, the catering and refrigeration. Power was also required at night to keep the equipment powered up and prevent condensation build-up. The challenge was to achieve this reliably without having to rely continuously on a running diesel generator. The solution Battery Trailer supplied a 53 kWh mobile battery solution that absorbed the peak load and made optimal use of the existing mains connection. This enabled all systems to continue running without any problems and reduced the use of a diesel generator to a minimum. The result: For five days, the power supply operated reliably with support from the Battery Trailer. This saved approximately 800 litres of diesel. At the same time, this project marked the start of our collaboration with Stammis Verhuur, which has since added two 53 kWh Battery Trailers to its rental fleet.
